Tick & Insect Repellent Salve ( 4 oz)
Our 4 ounce jar of salve contains several essential oils that will repel insects and we use five of them in Flattop Mountain Herb’s Tick and Insect Repellent. But ticks are different. One essential oil stands out in repelling ticks: Pelargonium capitatum x radens. (A type of Rose Geranium)
The other essential oils are Lemon Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender and Tea Tree.
We learned back in 2015 to add some pure vanilla to her Tick and Insect repellent because vanilla assures the repellent will evaporate slower. Flattop Mountain Herbs does not sell Tick and Insect Spray. There is too much waste and the necessary oils prevent spray bottles from performing.
Our organic carrier oils are cold pressed grapeseed, avocado. canola and olive. Once the oils have been mixed, they are made into a salve with coconut oil, shea butter and white beeswax.
We sell this product as a salve instead of a spray to ensure good contact with your skin and no waste!

Flattop Mountain Herbs chooses to use a salve rather than a spray to direct the repellant to the proper areas of your body and not waste spraying in the air. Rub a little salve around each ankle, smooth up towards your knees. Use a little around each wrist and your waste. To repel insects you may wish to rub a little around your neck. Some people apply the salve to their work hat to repel those nasty little gnats. Do not use near your eyes. You may find where you put the salve has smoother skin. Enjoy!
